Production Time
Production Time
Most Geranium dresses are made to order rather than taken from ready-to-ship stock. This allows us to prepare each dress according to the selected style, size, color and, where available, custom measurements.
Please allow enough time for both production and shipping when planning for your wedding, prom, party or other special occasion.
Typical Production Time
Production time can vary depending on the dress design, fabric, embellishment, size and customization requirements. The individual product page may show a more specific production estimate for that style.
Typical production time after the order and required information have been confirmed.
Heavy beading, lace work, specialty fabrics, complex construction or significant customization may require additional production time.
When Does Production Time Start?
Production can begin only after we have the information required to make your dress.
Standard Size Orders
Production generally begins after the order, selected size, color and other required product options have been successfully received and confirmed.
Custom Size Orders
Production begins after all required measurements have been received and any measurement questions or confirmations have been resolved.
Custom Color or Design Requests
Production begins after the requested customization has been reviewed, confirmed and, where applicable, any additional details have been agreed.
Orders Requiring Confirmation
If we contact you because information is missing or appears inconsistent, production may wait until we receive your reply.
Waiting for Customer Information
If an order requires additional measurements, color confirmation, design confirmation or other information, we may contact you before production begins.
Time spent waiting for required customer information is not included in the production time.
To avoid unnecessary delays, please make sure the email address and contact details associated with your order are correct and check your messages after ordering.
Our Made-to-Order Process
Depending on the individual dress, production may include the following stages.
Why Production Time Can Vary
Design Complexity
Structured bodices, corsetry, multiple skirt layers and complex silhouettes can require more construction time.
Handwork
Lace appliqués, pearls, crystals, sequins, embroidery and hand beading may require additional finishing time.
Fabric Availability
Specialty lace, embellishments or particular colors may require additional preparation before cutting can begin.
Custom Size
Custom measurements may require additional review and pattern adjustment before the fabric is cut.
Design Customization
Approved changes to sleeves, neckline, train or other construction details may affect production time.
Peak Seasons
Wedding, prom and holiday seasons may create periods of higher production demand.
Production Time vs. Shipping Time
| Stage | What It Means | When It Happens |
|---|---|---|
| Production Time | The time required to prepare and make your dress. | Before the parcel is handed to the shipping carrier. |
| Shipping Time | The transportation time from shipment to delivery. | After production, quality inspection and packaging are complete. |
| Total Lead Time | Production Time + Shipping Time, plus any time required to resolve missing order information. | From confirmed order information through final delivery. |
Rush Orders
Rush production may be available for selected dresses, but it depends on the design, fabric availability, customization requirements and current production capacity.

Production Time FAQ
Are Geranium dresses ready to ship?
Most dresses are made to order. Unless a product is specifically identified as ready to ship, please allow production time before shipment.
Does shipping time include production time?
No. Production and shipping are separate stages. Shipping begins only after the dress has been completed, inspected and packaged.
When does production begin for a Custom Size dress?
Production begins after the required measurements have been received and any measurement questions requiring confirmation have been resolved.
Can waiting for my reply delay production?
Yes. If required information is missing or needs confirmation, production may be placed on hold until we receive your response. Waiting time for required customer information is not counted as production time.
Can I pay for express shipping to make production faster?
No. Express shipping can shorten transportation time after shipment, but it does not automatically shorten the production process. Contact us separately to ask whether rush production is available.
What if I have a fixed event date?
Contact us before ordering if your event date is close. We can review the product, destination and current production situation, but delivery by a particular date should not be assumed unless it has been specifically confirmed.
Planning Your Order?
Before ordering, check the Size Guide, take fresh measurements if needed and review shipping information for your destination.
